About Philosophy & Religion

Students majoring in philosophy and/or religion have the opportunity to carry out research in their field while taking a range of ethical, theological, and philosophical courses. There are also many opportunities to present research at various conferences in the region. Students can cater their studies to their interests with courses ranging from the philosophy of science, ethical issues in healthcare, Daoism, and Eastern religions.

By completing a major in philosophy and/or religion, students can learn about participating meaningfully in a larger, global community while better understanding the world around them. Those with majors in the department can also become involved with the Philosophy/Religion Club, where students attend philosophy and religion conferences and plan events centered around the discipline on Drury's campus.
