2016 Charities & Nonprofits Board Member Training
November 3, 2016, 9 a.m. — Noon
1501 Branson Hills Parkway
Branson MO 65616
Regardless of the size or type of the organization, all board members — brand new and seasoned — need to have a clear understanding of the basic roles and responsibilities of serving on a nonprofit board. Without proper training, board members are unlikely to fulfill their important roles, which can have a devastating impact on the organization and the people needing their help.
Who should come?
This training will help current and future board members, E.D.s and other nonprofit managers, and community leaders.
- Board legal responsibilities
- Member recruitment and evaluation
- Visioning and planning
- Managing the E.D.
- PR and fundraising responsibilities
Your organization's work is too important to hope that your board members can just learn "on the job" by watching others. They get frustrated and so do you. Be proactive by providing your board with the training they need to help your organization reach its mission.
This training session will be facilitated by Dan Prater. Dan is the executive director of the Drury University Center for Nonprofit Leadership in Springfield, MO. Dan has worked with hundreds of organizations, large and small, throughout the Midwest and the nation. Learn from his passion and years of experience.
There is no cost for the training, but registration is required and seating is limited.
