Southwest Missouri Paralegal Association Financial Assistance Award

Each year the Southwest Missouri Paralegal Association (SMPA) selects an individual to receive a financial assistance award.  The award is available to students who are pursuing a legal assistant/paralegal degree and to voting members who are planning to take the CLA or PACE exams.  Each school will select one application for consideration by SMPA.

Criteria:

  • Must have satisfactorily completed at least one semester of legal assistance/paralegal studies
  • Must be enthusiastic
  • Must demonstrate a need for financial assistance
  • Membership in SMPA is not required

Interested students need to:

  • Complete the attached form
  • Submit an essay of 50 words or less stating why he/she needs assistance
  • Drop off at the Registration office in Bay Hall no later than April 6th
