The Inaugural Breech Business Week was held April 21-25 with the theme “Inspired to Lead” Breech Business Week provided students with an opportunity to engage in activities directly related to career preparation. Serving as yet one more way we help our students be “job ready,” the week included business networking opportunities, as well as resume and social networking workshops designed to heighten their attention to professional presentation. Drury students received valuable insights and feedback from these connections while business leaders share their experiences and learn what makes Drury graduates highly valued employees.

|On a beautiful spring day the Drury campus became a golf course as Breech students held a fundraiser event. Their goal, to buy school supplies for the children on the island of Aigina, Greece. Breech students came up with the idea after staying at the Drury Campus in Greece during study abroad trips. Here they met and worked with the Aigina Volunteers a group providing support to families on the island.|

Twenty-two business professionals from a variety of industries visited Breech classes during the week. As professors-for-a-day, these professionals shared important insights with students about their career paths and industries.
|Students prepare for speed networking|
|In a joint program between the Alumni Council and students in the Project Management class, students had an opportunity to meet one on one with a series of professionals at a speed networking event. The event provided students a chance to practice the interview skills they will need in their job search.|
|On April 24, the 3rd annual Reach Out to Breech event was held at Springfield Brewing Company. The event brought alumni and students together and included remarks by Dr. Clif Petty.|

|At the Breech Student Award Luncheon, the closing event of Breech Business Week, top students were recognized. Student speaker Casey Carroll shared highlights of her time at Drury with fellow students, faculty, Breech Advisory Board members, and sponsors of Breech Business Week. Awards were presented including the Internship Achievement Award presented to Nicholas Peterson and the Study Abroad Engagement Award presented to Erin Dierksen. The top ten juniors and seniors were also recognized at the event.|
|The 2nd Annual Breech Golf tournament was held in May at Millwood Golf and Racquet club. The event chaired by Tyler Creach and Lisa Holt raised over $9500 for Study Abroad scholarships.|
