James Lohmeyer graduated from Drury University in 1981, and became licensed in the state of Missouri in 1989.

In 1995, James co-founded Lohmeyer-Russell Architecture in Springfield, where today 13 employees - including 8 licensed architects - design and create. Many of the architects and employees at Lohmeyer's firm are also alumni from Drury's Hammons School of Architecture.
