About the Group
The Drury American Chemical Society (ACS) chapter is a student affiliated group designed for undergraduate students seeking a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or any other science. Our purpose is to keep students informed and up to date with information regarding graduate schools and internships, provide relevant information in chemistry, and provide service to our community. One of our regular activities includes traveling to local elementary schools and performing science “magic shows” for young children. We believe that when children are fascinated and intrigued by science, they are more likely to pursue a higher level of education. Our chapter is also committed to community service projects and fundraising for various organizations. Members are encouraged to form their own initiatives and work as team. We believe this builds great leadership and critical thinking skills.
