The Master in Education with Emphasis in Elementary Education program is designed for career educators who are committed to children and their learning and already have Missouri Teacher Certification.  The Elementary Education program is developed around the 5 Core Propositions of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and utilizes many of the assessment strategies associated with the National Board Certification process. 

Students complete a core of professional education courses as well as specialized work related to their area of teacher certification. The objective of the Elementary Education program is to strengthen both the content knowledge and the ability of the teacher to help students learn.
