Drury hires a Director of Assessment and Instructional Design

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Oct. 5, 2010 — Dr. Laura Plybon is the new Director of Assessment and Instructional Design at Drury’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS). Plybon will lead an academic assessment program for CGCS to enhance the scholarship of teaching and learning. In addition, she will provide direction, design and development for evaluation of instructional programs, learning and academic services.

Plybon recently moved to Springfield from Indianapolis, where she was the National Director of Research for Girls Inc., a nonprofit with affiliate sites in the United States and Canada. Her higher education experience includes working as an assistant professor of psychology at Bethel University in Tennessee. Plybon has also worked as an adjunct instructor at numerous universities, including the University of Richmond.
