SPRINGFIELD, Mo., April 29, 2010 — Drury’s Breech School of Business Administration will commemorate its AACSB accreditation with a tree planting celebration on Tuesday, May 4 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, officially announced Breech’s accreditation on April 6. Breech now joins the ranks of other colleges and universities dedicated to the same standards of teaching and curricula in business. Fewer than 5 percent of business schools worldwide hold this designation.
The celebration is free and open to Breech students and alumni, Drury faculty, staff and friends. The event will take place on the north side of the Breech building and feature cake and ice cream, giveaways and music.
In order to achieve AACSB accreditation, Breech underwent five years of rigorous internal review and evaluation. During the application process, the Breech School had to develop and implement a mission-driven plan to satisfy 21 quality standards relating to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.
