Drury student named Missouri Student Employee of the Year

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Apr. 13, 2010 — Drury senior Lindsay Fiedler, a 2006 Kickapoo High School graduate, is Drury’s 2010 Student Employee of the Year. Fiedler's nomination was submitted to the Midwest Association for Student Employment Administrators (MASEA) where she was also selected as the 2010 Missouri Student Employee of the Year from all the nominations submitted by universities in the state of Missouri.

Fiedler is the Student Employment Assistant in the Department of Human Resources. She’s been instrumental in kicking off Drury’s first and second annual recognition of National Student Employment Week in 2009 and 2010. She has also been solely responsible for collecting more than $3,000 combined in prizes, gift cards, and services for these celebrations.

Fiedler was selected by a committee made up of fifteen staff and faculty members. She will receive a $100 Visa gift card, compliments of an incentive grant from Administrative Services. She will also receive an additional $75 check from MASEA in recognition of the state award. Her nomination was also forwarded for consideration for the Midwest regional award of an additional $150. Winners have yet to be announced for the regional awards.
