The Immigrant Experience : An American Kaleidosope
Almost everyone's ancestors were immigrants. The earliest arrived on the shores of Virginia and Massachusetts , followed by waves of newcomers especially in the 19th century .  We will introduce the topic and look at four waves of immigration and how they were alike and different. Also to be viewed is "They Came to America."

Out of One, Many: Irish and German Immigrants
Large waves of Irish and German immigrants arrived in the 1800s. We will hear about the Seyffardt family coming 1850 from Baden, Germany, also learn about the German presence in the Ozarks as recorded by Gary Kremer.

Immigrants to America: Did They Fit In?
George Hummasti of MSU dept. of history will examine the European immigrants to America from the early 19th century through World War I with an emphasis on changing reactions to them by native Americans.

June 24
Post World War I & II Immigrants
We will interview several foreign born citizens who came from the Philippines, Germany, Japan, England, learning about their reasons for coming with their personal stories. Also present will be a member of the Polish Olympic team who immigrated in 1985.

The Spanish-Mexican Population in Early America
David Adams retired MSU history professor. To what extent did the Spaniards populate the United States in Colonial times and also Mexicans later on as many were affected by the Mexican Revolution . Included is the story of the Galarzia family coming to America in 1910.

The Right Man for the Right Time: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This is a chronological review of Dr. King's life from boyhood to the Rosa Pakrs boycott when he was thrust into the forefront of the civil rights struggle.
