Presented by Margaret Buckner, professor of sociology and anthropology, SMS. African art might be thought of as material things like painting and sculptures.  But the music, singing, poetry, and language arts are every bit as exciting and enjoyable.  Olin Room, Olin Library 

 

Feb. 15 & 22 Origins of the Alphabet

Presented by Juris Zarins, professor of sociology and anthropology, SMS. Our alphabet came from ancient Egypt and was invented in the Sinai peninsula about 1600 B.C.
