Service-learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.

Drury University recognizes the value of service-learning in the classroom and through co-curricular experiences.  Service-learning can fulfill an Engaged Learning graduation requirement.  Visit the CORE website for more information.

If you are interested in weaving service-learning into your class, please contact Community Outreach and Leadership Development to find a community partner, discuss project ideas, and access reflection resources and discipline specific syllabi.
