Applying for Campus Housing: Transfer Students

Freshmen transfers may apply to live in our co-ed residence halls, Smith and Wallace, or to live in one of our living-learning communities housed in Sunderland and Wallace. Freshmen transfers who wish to apply for a living-learning community need to apply for the LLC via a separate process, in addition to completing a housing contract. Upperclassmen transfers may live in our co-ed residence halls, Smith, Wallace and Sunderland, or apply to live in apartment-style housing.

Mail your New Student Housing Contract and a $200 deposit to Drury Office of Admission, 900 N. Benton Ave., Springfield, MO 65802. $100 of the deposit is a tuition deposit, and $100 is your housing deposit. Students who submit their contract and payment by May 1st will receive a housing assignment mid-June, prior to Freshmen Registration Day. Contracts and payments received past May 1st may not be placed until August.

All full-time day students are required to live on campus unless married or living at home with parent(s)/legal guardian(s). Complete a Housing Exemption form if want to apply to move off campus, and mail the form and a $100 tuition deposit to Drury Office of Admission, 900 N. Benton Ave., Springfield, MO 65802. Students who do not receive written permission to exempt from the Housing Policy are expected to complete a housing contract and live on campus.
