Freshmen students may apply to live in our co-ed residence halls, Smith and Wallace, or to live in one of our living-learning communities. Students who choose not to live in a living-learning community, should fill out a housing contract and indicate your hall preferences and meal plan. Students who wish to apply for a living-learning community need to apply for the LLC via a separate process, in addition to completing a housing contract.
Mail your New Student Housing Contract (be sure to print the form for the correct year) and deposit to Drury Office of Admission, 900 N. Benton Ave., Springfield, MO 65802. Students should pay a $300 deposit ($100 of the deposit goes toward tuition, and $200 is the housing deposit). Students who submit their contract and payment by May 1st will receive a housing assignment via their Drury e-mail the first week of June. Students who submit contracts and payments past May 1st will be assigned continuously throughout the summer.
For spring-entry students, the contract and deposit are due by December 1 st.
Assignments will be sent to the student’s Drury e-mail account. If you do not receive your housing assignment at least one week prior to Move-In Day, please contact the Housing Office.
All full-time day students are required to live on campus unless married, have a child or are living at home with parent(s)/legal guardian(s) within 30 miles of Drury. Even if you meet these requirements, you must complete a Housing Exemption form to apply to move off campus. Mail the exemption form and a $100 tuition deposit to Drury Office of Admission, 900 N. Benton Ave., Springfield, MO 65802. Exemption approvals, denials and/or requests for more information will be sent to the student’s Drury e-mail account. Students who do not receive permission to exempt from the Housing Policy via their Drury e-mail are expected to complete a housing contract and live on campus.
