Each year, the Office of International Programs awards the Dr. Stephen H. Good Endowed Scholarship to a student participating in a study abroad program at Drury. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic record, success in Global Perspectives, financial need, and participation in study abroad.
The Department of Languages at Drury is pleased to announce a grant from the C.W. Titus Foundation to fund between seven and fourteen scholarships for foreign language study abroad. Drury students will receive up to $2000 each to help cover expenses directly related to study abroad education, including travel to and within the host country, tuition, food and lodging, and educational supplies. The scholarship period will begin May 15, 2010 and continue to May 14, 2011 and include both short-term study abroad programs and semester-long (or year-long) programs. Scholarships are limited to full-time day students.
Over 1,700 scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study abroad. Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need with the average award being approximately $4,000. Undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at two-year or four-year colleges or universities are eligible to apply.
Students are encouraged to apply for one of three scholarships available for summer short-term study abroad programs. The Baron Annual Study Abroad Scholarship is open to students majoring in art or architecture; the Jacqueline Warren and Todd Lowery Annual Study Abroad Scholarship is available for students traveling as part of the Florence, Italy study abroad program; and the Brian Bennoch Annual Study Abroad Scholarship available for eligible students in any summer study abroad program.
