Arts Administration Major Curriculum

Prior to registration for MGMT 301, MGMT 476, or MKTG 337, students are required to complete the Permission to Enroll in Upper-Division Breech School Courses Form to be exempted from the Breech School admission policy, providing all other specific prerequisites for the course have been completed. Arts Administration majors may request a waiver of all or part of the prerequisites for COMM 431 and MUSC 322.

All Arts Administration majors are required to major in one area, or minor in two areas, of the arts (Art History, Fine Arts, Design Arts, Music, Theatre, or English). All Arts Administration majors take the following required core courses in addition to the major or minors requirements:
CISQ 170: Computer Applications & Tools
MGMT 103: Business Foundations
ACCT 209: Principles of Accounting
COMM 231: Principles of Advertising and Public Relations
MUSC 284: Audience Connection
MGMT 301: Leadership and Organizations
MGMT 319: Business Law I
MKTG 337: Marketing
COMM 431: Public Relations Writing
MGMT 476: Nonprofit Organizations
ARTZ/MUSC/THTR 450: Arts Criticism Internship
397/398/497/498 Internship


Art History, Fine Art and Design Art majors and minors also take the following classes:
