Charlyn Ingwerson is a magna cum laude graduate of Missouri State University with a B.A. in Philosophy. She holds an M.A. in English and a M.A. TESOL certificate from MSU, and an M.A. in Theology from AG Theological Seminary. A PhD in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of Arkansas is in progress. She has published poetry and essays in the journals of her graduate programs and presented papers on theological perspectives and linguistics studies, most recently at the Conference of Midwest Jewish Studies. She is a member of ASCAP, a publisher/songwriter, and member of an ad hoc group of Nashville songwriters.
Charlyn teaches classes in writing, grammar for majors, and literature courses in the modern and contemporary eras. She is coordinator of Drury's English for Academic Purposes program and teaches bridge courses for students who are not native English speakers.
