Do I need an official or an unofficial copy?

An official transcript is printed on tamper-proof, safety-sealed paper. An unofficial (student copy) transcript is printed on non-tamper-proof copy paper. Unofficial copies can only be requested by currently enrolled students.

When sending a transcript to a school, organization, or employer, an official copy is optimal. Upon request, an official copy can be sealed and enclosed in a signed envelope. When requesting for personal use, an unofficial copy will suffice.

What is listed on my transcript?

An official/unofficial transcript contains the following information:

  • Student Name and ID Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Gender
  • Admitted Date
  • Major, Minor and Special Programs (if declared)
  • All course work with grades by semester
  • Semester hours earned and graded
  • Transfer coursework
  • Semester GPA's
  • Cumulative GPA
  • Total hours earned
  • Degrees Awarded

How do I request a transcript?

The Records & Registration Office will release a transcript only upon the written, dated, and signed request of the student. Transcript requests should include the following:

  • Full Name, including maiden name and ALL names ever used, even if the student was not enrolled under those names.
  • Student ID Number, if remembered
  • Social Security Number
  • Phone number, daytime and/or message phone
  • Date of Birth
  • Current Address
  • Years of attendance at Drury (approximations suffice)
  • Division of the college from which you are requesting transcripts (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Number of copies being requested for each division
  • Mailing Address where each transcript should be sent
  • Full Signature
  • Correct Payment

Download Official Transcript Request Form (Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader). Currently enrolled students can bring the form to the Records & Registration Office, or mail it with their payment to:

Drury University
Records & Registration Office
Transcript Request
900 N. Benton Avenue
Springfield, MO 65802

Non-enrolled students who seek an unofficial transcript can send all the information above with their payment to the same address.

What will prevent my transcript request from being processed?

Drury University will not release transcripts to a student who has an unpaid balance in their DU account. This includes defaults on Perkins or National Direct Student Loans. It is the student's responsibility to remove outstanding balances before submitting a transcript request. If a transcript was not released due to outstanding balances on the student's DU account, it is the student's responsibility to resubmit the transcript request once the balance has been paid.
