What type of classes do freshmen take?

Get to know what more about Alpha Seminar

All freshmen at Drury take a course called Alpha Seminar during their first year as a general education requirements. Here's an example of what one class is doing.

This is not your normal classroom experience... Dr. Sokol's Alpha class imparts nuggets of wisdom

Dr. Sokol's Alpha Seminar class took some time out to answer a few questions...

1. What are you doing in Alpha right now?

We are watching the movie "Citizen Kane" and are working on our term papers. We're also creating life long friendships and developing increased communication skills.

2. Class theme song?

"Sweet Dreams are Made of These" by the Eurythmics

3. What was the most memorable moment of Orientation 2002?

Having dinner at Dr. Sokol's house and getting all of us in one car during the Scavenger Hunt!

4. Why is your Alpha class the best?

We all get along, we all shower, and we have a good Alpha teacher who has a "youthful vibrant spirit."
