Health Services

The information you need to know about staying healthy.

Drury University's health center is supervised by the Cox Health Systems and is located on the ground floor of Findlay Student Center. Services are available to full-time day students whose health fees support the center.

A registered nurse is on duty from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students who need to see a doctor will be referred to a doctor in the Family Medical Care Center, which is housed a short distance from campus at Cox North, 1423 N. Jefferson. When referred by the nurse, the students office visit charge is covered by their Drury health fee.

Labs, Xrays and other procedures are billed to student or their insurance carrier. After hours and weekend emergency or urgent care is the financial responsibility of the student. Students may purchase prescriptions at a reduced cost at the Convenient Care Pharmacy in the Medical Tower Building at 1443 N. Jefferson.

In case of illness it is important to contact the nurse in the health center between 8.00-3.30. At other times, see the head resident or resident assistant of your hall. It is not mandatory to contact these people in case of illness or accident before proceeding to the hospital, but they should be notified as soon as possible.

All students are required to complete the confidential health form, including the required immunizations. These can be printed off from the Drury.edu website under DU students - newly admitted students - forms for newly admitted students and mailed to:

Drury University Student Health Center 900 N. Benton Springfield MO 65802

Registration is not complete until these forms have been returned. Students will be treated at the health center only if their health report is on file. All students are required to have medical insurance coverage while enrolled.
