Vacation/Sick Time

For Full-Time Staff

Vacation time is calculated based on the number of years an employee has worked for Drury University (see chart below), beginning with a maximum of 96 hours per year to 160 hours per year, for most employees. Time accrued may be used after six months of service. Vacation time is paid at termination.

Sick time accrues at 8 hours per month to a maximum of 960 hours. It may be used as it is accrued. Sick time is not paid at termination.

16 hours of personal time is allowed each fiscal year. This leave becomes available on June 1 and may be used between that date and May 31 of the next year after six months of service. Personal hours are not paid at termination.
