The Financial Aid office is located on the second floor of Bay Hall on the Drury campus. Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Attention borrowers with prior student loans with US Bank:

We have been informed that US Bank will withdraw their participation in the Federal Family Education Loan Program, effective September 25, 2009.

Any Drury Stafford loan application with US Bank as lender submitted prior to August 1, 2009 will be processed with US Bank for the 09-10 academic year. US Bank will continue to disburse funds for any 09-10 fall/spring loan processed prior to 9/25/09 through the spring disbursement. For any subsequent Stafford loan application submitted after August 1, 2009, you will be required to choose a new lender and sign a new master promissory note.

If your prior loans were with US Bank and you have not yet submitted your 09-10 Stafford loan application, you will need to choose a new lender. If you want to keep all your loans with MOHELA, the loan servicer for your prior loans with US Bank, you can choose a new lender and submit a new master promissory note online at www.mohela.com. You can also choose a new lender and complete the electronic signature process online at www.collegelenderlist.com. A Drury Stafford loan application must also be completed and can be submitted online at https://www.drury.edu/fa/studentloan/.

  • Important Information
Students transferring to Drury who have been receiving the Access Missouri Grant at another institution must do the following in order to received the grant at Drury:

    Specify Drury as your home school through the FAFSA update;

Contact the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) at 1-800-473-6757 to request to be added to Drury University's Access Missouri Grant roster.

  • Access Missouri, Bright Flight and Marguerite Ross Barnett scholarship recipients:
To maintain your eligibility for a renewal scholarship award for the 2008-2009 academic year, you must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing your initial baccalaureate degree and have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (or the equivalent on another scale) in addition to meeting Drury University’s satisfactory progress requirements to be eligible for a renewal scholarship. Drury University must verify your eligibility, including all satisfactory academic progress requirements, before you can receive the scholarship.

  • Students, please be aware that due to Federal Regulations, the Financial Aid Office is not permitted to adjust your financial aid award (with the exception of student loans) for classes added after the drop/add period of the semester. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 417-873-7312 or fa@drury.edu if you have any questions.

  • Beginning January 1, 2008, students and parents will be able to apply for and receive a "real-time" PIN when completing a FAFSA on the Web (www.fafsa.ed.gov) or when applying for a PIN on the Department’s PIN Web site (www.pin.ed.gov). When applying for a PIN, requesting a duplicate PIN, or changing a PIN, applicants can receive their PIN in real-time. Whether system-generated or user-selected, if the applicant chooses to display or personalize the PIN or receive the PIN via e-mail, he or she can use the PIN immediately to sign the application.

  • In February, 2006, President Bush signed the Higher Education Reauthorization Act of 2005. According to HERA, the base allowances for ONLINE students were changed. No longer are allowances for transportation and room and board figured into the cost of attendance. Financial Aid Offices have to adhere to federal regulations when figuring, processing, and disbursing federal funds as to not jeopardize the use of Title IV funding. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your loan coordinator.

    Important Reminders:

· Address Changes. Students, it is your responsibility to keep the school and your lender up to date of any address, phone, and name changes. Failing to do so could result in delay of your financial aid.

· In order to be considered for the Access Missouri State Grant, students who are residents of Missouri must complete their 2008-09 FAFSA by April 1, 2008.

· Evening Students applying for the Continuing Studies Scholarship must do so one week before the first day of classes each semester.

· If you have been selected for verification on your student aid report, please check with the Financial Aid office in order to complete the process.

Return of Federal Funds Policy

Based on the Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act enacted October 1998:

The Financial Aid Office recalculates federal* financial aid eligibility for students who withdraw, drop out, are dismissed, or take a leave of absence (and do not return) prior to completing 60 percent of a semester. ( This policy applies to complete withdrawals only; that is, to students who withdraw all credit hours.)

The designated office the student should notify when withdrawing is the Registrar's office or the Branch Coordinator.

Questions on the return of funds should be directed to the Financial Aid Office.

When aid is returned, the student may owe a debit balance to the university. The student should contact the Financial Services Office to make arrangements to pay the balance.

*Federal financial aid includes the Federal Pell Grant, SEOG Grant, Perkins Loan, Stafford Student Loan, and Parent PLUS Loan.
