Wednesday’s Clothing Donation Is Largest This Year for The Community Partnership
Rolla, MO – June 14, 2012 - The Community Partnership announced this week that yesterday’s clothing donation drive in connection with Drury University-Rolla is the largest so far in their summer collection campaign, totaling over 80 bags of donated goods for its Rolla area Resale Shop. The Resale Shop is a non-profit thrift store located at 2100-D N. Bishop (Hwy 63 North) that relies on volunteer staff and community donations to offer interesting and inexpensive goods to area residents. The profits, in turn, go to support local programs that seek to connect individuals and schools with the resources, training, and support they need to lead happy, productive lives.
Drury University’s Rolla Director, Myra Miller, organized the clothing donation drive at the school’s Rolla campus and in two-day’s time collected over 80 bags of goods for the The Community Partnership’s Resale Shop.
“Drury University-Rolla wants to be responsible to our community and to be supportive in any we can. We had a blast helping The Community Partnership host this event.”
Even if you missed this clothing drive, you can still donate furniture, clothing, or other items at any time. Just drop them off at the store, at the after-hours donation boxes located outside the Resale Shop, at the Rolla Recycling Center, or on 10th St. in the Forum Dental parking lot. For larger donations, you can also call the Resale Shop for pick-up at 573-426-5923.
