Is Springfield and Drury a safe place to live?
Drury is located in the middle of Springfield and is a short distance from the exciting downtown district. It’s also a short drive away from lakes and rivers where students enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including canoeing, swimming, rock climbing and hiking.
Springfield is a very safe city with low crime rates and low pollution. Drury's campus is nestled in the center of the city, and is served 24 hours a day by our Office of Safety & Security. In addition to our campus security officers, a Springfield Police Department substation is also located on Drury's campus.

How will I get around in Springfield?
While there are some options for dining, shopping and entertainment within walking distance of Drury's campus, the city of Springfield is fairly spread out. A bus system serves campus connecting students with the rest of the city, although most students find that having a car offers the most convenience for getting around town.
