With the new school year underway, the CX now provides more options to offer for customers who are looking for healthier food choices.
The CX experienced renovation over the summer which included a new build-to-order salad bar. Customers have the option to pick ingredients for their salad.
Carla Cassulo, director of dining services, said the idea is to increase the number of healthy and fresh food options on campus.
“We were approached by the wellness committee, and asked to implement some type of build-to-order salad, so we could offer some healthier options down at the CX,” Cassulo said. “You come up and you order, you can get a small or a large. A small comes with about three toppings and dressing. A large comes with five different toppings and dressing, and if you want to add a protein option, then it’s ninety-nine cents more, depending on what meat option you get.”
Additional changes have also been added to the CX and commons:
Hours for the CX are the following: Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
