On Site Format: All on site entries must be in Quicktime format and submitted on a flash drive. The ONLY file on that flash drive must be the entry. Only one entry per drive allowed. Labels will be provided for the drives.
ALL EDITING WILL TAKE PLACE IN ASSIGNED AREAS ON THE DRURY CAMPUS. YOU MAY NOT EDIT OUTSIDE OF YOUR ASSIGNED AREA. TEACHERS ARE ALLOWED TO ADVISE ON SHOOTS AND IN THE EDIT ROOMS BUT MAY NOT TOUCH THE GEAR. TEACH WITH YOU WORDS, NOT WITH YOUR HANDS

ON-SITE ENTRY LIMITATIONS
Students will receive a DVD with QuickTime files of raw footage and sound. They will have two hours to edit a short video from the provided footage. No voiceovers, music, or outside footage will be allowed. (Time Limit: 1:30 - 2:00 minutes. Entries over 2:00 minutes will not be judged.)
Teams will receive an assignment and have four hours to file their story. (Time Limit: 1:30- to 2:00 Entries over 2:00 minutes will not be judged.)
Each student will have five minutes to review a script on teleprompter. They will then be taped reading that script on-camera.
Teams will receive a product and will have three hours and 15 minutes to produce a 30 – second commercial for that product
Each student will receive facts and sound bites and have 60 minutes to write a one-minute script.
The contest will involve students receiving a list of facts about a spot news story they are covering "live." They will have a few minutes to organize their thoughts, and then do a live report, which will involve a toss back to the anchor. The anchor will then ask the reporter a follow-up question. Judges will look for accurate, professional delivery of information, and the ability to think on your feet.
