New leadership means fresh ideas bursting with sparks of enthusiasm! Drury University has a new director at the helm of the Rolla campus, located in Rolla, Missouri, who just so happens to be returning to her roots. Myra Miller, a Dixon High School (Dixon, Missouri), graduate and alumni of Drury University, is spearheading a savvy marketing plan and aggressive campaign to increase enrollment at Rolla.
Her main goal is to bring about a sense of belonging for the students that instills pure excitement and boastful pride that comes with being a graduate of a prestigious mid-west school like Drury. This mantra fits well into her dissertation research topic as she tries to replicate the experience and introduces the type of community spirit she received as a student herself at the main Drury campus in Springfield, Missouri.
Paint, remodeled classrooms, student/faculty break room and many other physical improvements are part of Miller’s plan to enhance the learning environment. Drury’s new leader in Rolla is hitting the ground running and reconnecting with the community to make sure Drury will “Stand Out” in the field of higher education.
