DUTV students placed well in state competition this year for work produced in 2010. The results are listed below, but special mention is in order for three remarkable students.
Bobby Hearn (Sr)
Bobby won best sports video feature for the third straight year. Last year he also won for best video news story, and this year he won for best video documentary.
John Miller (Sr)
John was voted best radio sports play-by-play man for the third straight year. He was this year’s voice of the Panthers’ basketball broadcast on JOCK 98. ( Rarely will you find a college student working for a commercially licensed radio station in that position). John is a gifted announcer who stays on top of the game.
Chris Beckman
Chris won best short film for the third straight year. He graduated in 2010, having won a first place award in one category or another every year he attended Drury.
