The College of Continuing Professional Studies offers an associate of science in radiologic technology. This is a degree completion program for students who already have certification in radiologic technology. Students enter the program with 45 credit hours applied towards an associate of science degree in radiologic technology, and then they take 17 hours of coursework at Drury to complete the associate of science degree. Credit also is awarded for military training in this specialty upon completion of national registry certification.
Radiologic technologists and technicians take x-rays and administer nonradioactive materials into patients’ bloodstreams for diagnostic purposes. Some specialize in diagnostic imaging technologies, such as computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
