The Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts is the realization of a dream that began more than 25 years ago--to conceive, create and construct a state-of-the-art performing arts center to serve the needs of a community and a region. Hammons Hall is a 2,220-seat multipurpose performance facility located near the Walnut Street Historic District. Hammons Hall presents a full season which includes touring Broadway musical productions, single performances covering the gamut of entertainment from classical music to jazz to dance to theatre, children's shows, and an emerging concert artists' recital series. In keeping with Hammons Hall's mission to serve the student population, university concerts, recitals and lectures are also part of the season's schedule.

Since its opening in 1909, the Landers Theatre has entertained audiences with live plays and even motion pictures. Owned by the Springfield Little Theatre organization since 1970, the Landers is now a beautifully restored playhouse that produces a season of six plays and musicals every year. The theatre is also the site for a variety of other performances by organizations like the Springfield Ballet and the Springfield Symphony Chamber Series.The Springfield Art Museum

The Springfield Symphony is a community performance group formed in 1933 on the Drury University campus and was also a founding member of the American Symphony Orchestra League in 1942. Several Drury students and faculty perform in the Symphony, which provides a fantastic musical experience for thousands in the Southwest Missouri area.The Vandivort Center Theatre
Located on the top floor of the Vandivort Center in Springfield's downtown entertainment district, the Vandivort Theatre is host to a variety of performances throughout the year. Everything from puppet shows to musical comedies to bluegrass and blues performances have been produced by organizations like the Ozark House Concert Series, the Chameleon Puppet Theatre and the Baird Student Theatre Project. Vandivort's resident companies include New Globe Players, which produces classical plays and musicals, and Good Company Theatre for All Ages, a company that performs plays for young audiences.Related Links:
