Drury provides food service through a contractual agreement with Collegiate Catering, a company with a great deal of experience in college meal planning. They provide service through the Commons, which is the cafeteria on the main floor of the Findlay Student Center and the Campus Exchange, a snack bar located in Springfield Hall.
All students who live on campus have a meal contract for either 15 or 20 meals per week in the Commons. Meals may also be purchased at the door, or students may arrange for a cash account. A $50 deposit opens this cash account. Five dollars is added to the student's cash account each time $50 is deposited, resulting in a 10% discount on meals. Each time a student purchases food in the Commons, CX, or Unwind Grind the cost is subtracted from the cash account balance. The food committee, which is composed of students who eat regularly in the cafeteria, plan each week's menu and special event menus. If you have special dietary needs, the staff is trained to provide for those. The food you eat is important to your health, and Collegiate Catering will assist in meeting your needs. Collegiate Catering also offers several other programs in an effort to meet student needs, including the meal exchange program and group candlelight dinners. The Wellness for Life program will help you plan a dietary and exercise program just for you.
