Guest artists highlight the final concert of the year for the Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., March 19, 2010 — The Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra (SDCO) will present its third and final concert of the season on Thursday, April 1 at 7:30 pm in Drury’s Stone Chapel at the corner of Benton and Central.

Comprising a combination of students, professional performers, educators, and dedicated enthusiasts, the 90-member SDCO welcomes guest artists Andrew Kolb on cello and Amy Goeser-Kolb on oboe, for performances of Antonin Dvorak's Concerto for Cello and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Concerto for Oboe.

Amy Goeser Kolb is professor of oboe at the University of Oregon; Andrew Kolb is principal cello of the Eugene Symphony. The husband and wife team are former Wichita State University faculty members and former principals in the Wichita Symphony.
