SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Feb. 18, 2010 — Drury University presents the annual Peter and the Wolf concerts on Feb. 25 and 26 at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily in Weiser Gymnasium.
Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf has been a tradition at Drury University for nearly four decades. A combination of students from the Department of Music, the Department of Theatre and professional musicians from the Springfield area (including Drury faculty) perform music and acting for the production.
Around 4,000 third-graders from area schools annually come onto the Drury campus to enjoy the magic of music as they see this timeless classic acted out in front of their eyes by students from the Department of Theatre.
