SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Nov. 24, 2009 — Drury’s annual Christmas Vespers will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4:00 p.m. in Stone Chapel.
The concert will include a reading of a Christmas narrative to celebrate the season with musical interjections along the way performed by the Drury Singers and Chamber Choir. Christmas Vespers lasts about an hour and includes the traditional Christmas carols that involve audience participation.
Christmas Vespers has become a local favorite. It is suggested that people arrive early because the hall tends to fill up quickly. Following the performance there will be a reception in the chapel lounge.
Admission is free. For additional information contact the Music Department at (417) 873-7291.
