Beta Beta Beta is a national honor society for students majoring in the biological sciences. Its purpose is to promote research and scholarship among students of biology. The Chi chapter at Drury University, installed in 1929, is one of the oldest local chapters of Tri-Beta in the country.
All students are encouraged to attend meetings and participate in the activities of Tri-Beta. To be eligible for active membership, students shall have completed at least one term of the second year of a four-year curriculum, shall have completed at least three term courses in biological science (of which at least one is not an introductory course), and shall be in good academic standing.
Activities sponsored by the Chi chapter during its existence are many and varied. We currently co-sponsor the Science Undergraduate Research Symposium (SURS) held on the second Friday in April each spring in the Trustee Science Center on the Drury campus. Please see the SURS web page for more information or to submit an abstract for review by the Symposium Committee.
