Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra to perform on November 8

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Nov. 2, 2009 — The Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra will kick off its season with a convocation concert on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. The concert will be held in Stone Chapel on Drury University's campus.
Music Director Christopher Koch (pronounced: Cook) will lead the orchestra and Drury Singers as they present Gustav Holst's orchestral suite “The Planets.”
Founded in 2005, the Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra is made up of more than 90 talented professionals, students and enthusiasts. The SDCO presents a three-concert season of great orchestral masterworks. All performances are free and open to the public.
