Which Praxis II exam should I take?

Is the Praxis II exam required for admission to teacher education?
Undergraduate students are not required to take the Praxis II exam until the semester prior to student teaching.
While post-baccalaureate students (students who have an undergraduate degree) pursuing teacher certification in a content area for middle school or secondary education are encouraged to take the relevant Praxis II exam as early as possible, a passing score is not required for admission to teacher education. A passing score on the Praxis II may be required as an admission criteria for a specific graduate program.
When do I take the Praxis II exam?
Students must attempt the appropriate Praxis II exam the semester prior to student teaching. If the Praxis is passed, students are not required to enroll in EDUC 475 Review for Teacher Certification Exam. If the Praxis is not passed, students will enroll in EDUC 475 Review for Teacher Certification Exam during the student teaching semester. EDUC 475 is intended to provide support and assistance to students as they prepare to take the Praxis for a second time.
Where do I register for the Praxis II exam?
When registering for the exam(s) be sure to select Drury University as a recipient of your score(s).
How do I get my Praxis II score?
The School of Education does not receive paper copies of student score reports. The department is unable to provide you with an official score report. You must request your score report from ETS by following the process below.
As of the September 2009 administration, online scores are now downloadable for 45 calendar days. After 45 days, they will no longer be available and candidates will need to request additional score reports for a $40 fee (per request).
