About the Artist:

Mike Lyon received his B.A. in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.F.A. in painting from the Kansas City Art Institute. In the 1990’s, Lyon began, and continues today, to explore ways the image might be communicated through repetitive gesture.

Solo exhibitions include the Beach Museum of Art, KS; Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art, MO; and Gallery EZOSHI, Kyoto, Japan. His work is included in permanent collections at the Miriana Kistler Beach Museum of Art, the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the Spence Museum of Art, the Art Museum at the University of Kentucky, and the Springfield Art Museum.
