SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Aug. 28, 2009 — One of Springfield Business Journal’s most influential women of 2009, Dawn Hiles, is the new Dean of Admissions for Drury University. Hiles replaces Dr. Paul Carney who has accepted the position of vice president of enrollment management and student affairs at Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
“Dawn’s grasp of immediate recruiting opportunities will allow her to impact the new recruiting cycle without delay,” says Todd Parnell, Drury President. “I have great confidence in Dawn’s ability to provide effective and creative leadership for our capable admissions team.”
Hiles has held numerous positions in higher education including executive director of the Edward Jones Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Drury; sales management team and development officer for Students in Free Enterprise Global; and director of Drury’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Hiles graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, management and administration from Indiana University, and she earned her MBA from Drury in 2006.
