Soak Up Springfield - September 4, 2013 11:00-1:00pm

This event will introduce hundreds of Drury students, faculty and staff to various businesses and nonprofit agencies in the Springfield area!

Dear Local Organization:
Drury University will be hosting the 5th annual Soak Up Springfield. This is an event that will introduce over 300 incoming first-year students as well as returning students, faculty and staff to various businesses and nonprofits in the Springfield area.  Drury has a student body of over 1,500 students, and we would like your organization to promote what you have to offer hundreds of youth, many of which are brand new to the area.   All money raised from this event will go to support community outreach efforts and leadership development programming at Drury University.

Highlights

  • Attendance at this event has grown every year and we work hard to market it across campus through a variety of means including social media and targeted invitations to freshmen and campus groups.
  • In addition to promoting products, recruiting customers or recruiting volunteers, you are also welcome to share any job or internship opportunities.  Many students are searching for jobs in the early fall and this is a great opportunity to recruit new employees or interns.
  • We collaborate with the Student Union Board (SUB) to increase student attendance at this event.
