SPRINGFIELD, Mo., June 1, 2009 —
Dr. Dan Beach has been appointed interim dean of Drury’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies, effective June 11. Dr. Beach replaces Dr. Parris Watts who is leaving Drury to become the vice-president for academic affairs at Graceland University. A national search for Watts’ permanent replacement will begin this summer.
A member of the Drury family since 1983, Beach is the director emeritus of the School of Education and Child Development, and, is presently, the associate dean for graduate programs in the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
Beach is a former principal at Springfield’s Parkview High School and Hickory Hills middle and elementary schools.
