Kappa Deltas Host Annual Shamrock Week

The Mirror

Kappa Delta sorority at Drury University is having its annual Shamrock Event throughout the week of April 13th, 2009 - April 17th, 2009. 80 percent of the proceeds will stay in Springfield and go to Isabel's House: the crisis nursery of the Ozarks. The remaining 20 percent will go to Prevent Child Abuse America, the sorority's national philanthropy, for nationwide public awareness programs.

Shamrock Week will consist of multiple Dine Out Nights, which consist of various restaurants that will donate portions of their profits to the philanthropies involved. The restaurants involved include:

Fuddrucker's on Wednesday, April 15th all day; flyers will be handed out to customers and are needed in order to get a donation for this event

Applebee's on Thursday, April 16th

McAllister's (Kansas and Kearney location) on Saturday, April 18th all day; flyers will be handed out to customers and are needed in order to get a donation for this event.

Friday, April 17th, is the date of the Kay Dee Karnival. It will be held from 6 - 9 in the evening on Sunderland Field at Drury University. Tickets for the Karnival are $5.00. T-shirts will also be sold for $10.00. If a ticket and a shirt are bought together, the package price is $13.00. If the weather is not agreeable on the day of the Karnival, the event will be moved into the gyms on Drury's campus.
