Second Life enhanced courses to begin in Fall 2009.

SECOND LIFE

Second Life LogoTM

Second Life enhanced courses have a virtual world experience in addition to regular online instruction. Instructors will require students to perform tasks in Second Life which may include activities such as synchronous virtual class meetings, simulations and games, research, small group activities, role playing, and voice/ text chat.

It is recommended that students have a computer headset with a microphone for communicating with other students and Second Life residents. Please click on the following link for the recommended minimum computer hardware configuration.

Students enrolling in courses with a Second Life experience will need to show Second Life proficiency by completing a prescribed Second Life function on Drury’s Second Life Island or by completing the one credit hour course, Introduction to Virtual Worlds: Second Life, held during the first 8 week session of the term. All Second Life enhanced courses will be held in the second eight week session of the term.
