Drury SIFE Wins at Regional Competition, Looks to Nationals
Win marks 12th in a row at Regional level
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Josh Jones Director, Drury SIFE (417) 894-6442 E-mail: joshjones@drury.edu The Drury University Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed victory on Friday March 27th, at the SIFE regional competition in Rogers, Arkansas. The win qualifies the team for participation in the SIFE USA National Exposition in Philadelphia May 10-12th. SIFE teams were judged on the effectiveness of the projects they completed over the course of the year. Drury's team completed more than 26 projects this year and presented details on twelve of the most significant. The team received $5,500 in prize money and was also named one of twenty finalists nationwide in four special topic competitions: success skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and environmental sustainability. This win marks the twelfth consecutive victory at the regional level for the team. Drury SIFE has been named USA National Exposition champions three times and World Cup champions twice. Founded in 1975 and active on more than 1,400 college campuses in 48 countries, SIFE is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with businesses and higher education to provide college students the opportunity to learn, practice, and teach the principles of free enterprise.
