Moxie Cinema 2.0 to Open Next Wednesday

The Mirror

The Moxie is opening a new theatre, Moxie Cinema 2.0, on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The Moxie is moving from its old location at 408 W. Walnut to Wilhoit Plaza on the corner of Jefferson and Pershing, across the street from the YMCA downtown.

The first films shown in the new location will be "Man on Wire" and "Synecdoche New York."

Directed by James Marsh, "Man on Wire" describes the journey of a young Frenchman who danced on an illegally rigged wire between New York City's Twin Towers on August 7, 1974. The film has been rated PG-13 for some sexuality and nudity, and drug references.

"Synecdoche New York," directed by Charlie Kaufman and staring Philip Seymour Hoffman, follows the story of a man hoping to create a theatrical work of brutal honesty.

The Moxie will be open through Thanksgiving and Black Friday (November 28).
