DU graduate announced as composition winner

The Drury Mirror
Director of orchestral activities Bruce Hangen is happy to announce that The Boston Conservatory's first annual Composition Competition winner is graduate student Andrew Paul Jackson.

Andrew Paul Jackson is a second year graduate student in composition at the Boston Conservatory. A Missouri native, Andrew began his musical studies at the age of eleven, studying the cello and began composing shortly thereafter.

He completed his BA in music, composition and theory, under the tutelage of Carlyle Sharpe at Drury University in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri. Since beginning his studies at the Boston Conservatory, Andrew has studied under Dalit Warshaw and is currently studying with Andy Vores.
