Are you passionate about art, music, theatre, or writing?
Are you passionate about art, music, theatre, or writing? Do you (or your parents) worry about a viable career in the arts? Arts management is a growing field. We have a long list of organizations anxious to talk to our students for internships and management positions.
Don't give up your dreams--maybe you hope to perform. That's great--stick with it, but you may need to manage the orchestra or the regional theatre as well.
Drury is just the sort of place that successfully merges the arts with business in an integrated and meaningful way.
The Arts Administration major is designed to dove-tail nicely with a major in your primary interest area of art, music, theatre, or business.
Forty semester hours of study are required to complete the major. The required courses are offered by the Art and Art History Department, Music Department, Theatre Department, Communication Department and the Breech School of Business Administration.
A degree in Arts Administration uniquely qualifies you to handle the business side of the arts world. That's important to keeping the arts alive in our society.
We would love to talk with you about Arts Administration at Drury.
