First Classes at Drury's Monett Branch to Begin on August 27

CGCS students near Monett will now
get the Drury experience locally

The opening of Drury's Monett branch for adult learners marks the university's eighth branch campus

Students, faculty, and staff at Drury University are eagerly gearing up for the official first day of classes at the university’s newest branch campus in Monett. On August 27, 2007, students in Monett will begin the first semester of the university’s brand new branch campus facility in the Southwest Missouri town. The opening of the Monett campus marks Drury’s eighth branch campus.

As the first semester at Drury University - Monett kicks off this August, students will have the opportunity to earn associate's degrees in various fields, as well as complete coursework toward several bachelor’s and master’s degree programs offered by Drury University.

Students may obtain degrees in the following associate degree programs:

Associate's Degrees

Business administration
Communication
Psychology
Foundations in education

In addition, students may complete coursework toward the following bachelor and master degree programs:

Bachelor’s Degrees

Advertising
Communication
Human Services
Organizational Studies
Psychology
Public Relations

Master’s Degrees

Education
Communication

Undergraduate courses currently scheduled for the fall semester include those in communication, education, English, general studies, math, and psychology. Graduate courses in education will be available for the upcoming semester, and evening and online classes are available. Students who wish to enroll in Drury University courses as non-credit classes for personal enrichment are welcome, and do not have to be admitted to a specific program in order to register.

The new Monett campus facility features a computer lab that provides students with access to the latest computer technology. Drury University staff will also be on-hand to provide academic advising, registration, admissions guidance, and assistance in applying for financial aid. Registration for Drury University - Monett is currently ongoing, and students can apply for admission to the College of Graduate & Continuing Studies online.

Classes will begin on August 27.

The Drury University branch campus is located at the Southwest Area Career Center in Monett at Two David Sippy Drive behind Monett High School.
