John and Crystal Beuerlein are noted for their generosity, through their service to several organizations as well as their financial support.
Mrs. Beuerlein, who graduated from Drury with a major in business administration, has worked as a mortgage and insurance professional. A longtime school volunteer, she remains closely involved with the Assistance League of St. Louis, a non-profit service organization which uses events, fundraising and a retail shop to provide new school uniforms for 2,200 St. Louis-area students each year.
Mr. Beuerlein is the chair of the Drury University Board of Trustees and a general partner for Edward Jones, St. Louis. He joined the firm in 1976, while attending graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis. He became a principal of the firm in 1980. His responsibilities were broadened in 1990 to include all of the firm’s equity marketing areas, including syndicate, research and OTC trading. Today, Beuerlein oversees advanced sales training for approximately 1,800 senior investment representatives throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Beuerlein, who has been a Drury trustee since 1991, co-chaired the Campaign for Science, which raised $22 million to fund the Trustee Science Center at Drury.
John and Crystal Beuerlein graduated from Drury in 1975. The couple has three children: Sara, 26; Robin, 22; and Danner, 15. They reside in the St. Louis area.
